ALPHA TEAM LOOKS THE DEVIL IN THE EYE After recovering Patient Zero, Alpha must escape Africa to end the ZA once and for all. But they can feel the hot breath of a reinforced and vengeful Spetsnaz team on their necks - and there can be no escaping the reckoning of an ultimate sniper showdown between Ali and Vasily, and an incomparably brutal iron-cage Texas deathmatch between Predator and Misha. For the first time, all the teams will come together and must fight as brothers, for any chance of making it back to Britain. And only one thing is certain - not everyone is walking away from this one...

ONE TROOP RALLIES AGAINST DECIMATION AND DEFEAT After rescuing Aliyev, One Troop is pinned down in Red Square between a surging singularity and the merciless killers of Spetsnaz Alfa Group. They're about to lose their second aircraft, they still don't have the zombie-killing MZ, and the clock is ticking down on their pinhole of escape. Only the most vicious and desperate gambit can give them a chance of saving London, not to mention themselves - but Jameson refuses to fail...

THE CREW OF THE KENNEDY BATTLES BACK With the bridge and most critical stations held by the world's deadliest maritime commando force, and Dr. Park pinned down by a smash-mouth battle and last stand in the ship's hospital, time is running out for the shellshocked and outgunned crew of the JFK to fight back. The ultimate heroism and sacrifice of everyone from storekeepers all the way up to Commander Drake himself will be required to fight their way back from the brink...

Defiance. Valor. Consecration.

This book was INTENSE! I cried, I got really mad at the author, I cried some more. I didn't want this book to end but I wanted to get to the end. I have loved this series with every step Alpha team, One Troop, Tripple Nickle and the MARSOC took. I have so much emotion invested in this book, I want these guys to succeed, I don't want any of them to die, and I am heartbroken when something does happen. I can't wait for the next book, what an amazing story Michael has written and I am happy to be here for the ride!

ARISEN Book Twelve Carnage edition by Michael Stephen Fuchs Literature Fiction eBooks Reviews

This installment has proven a bit more unbelievable then previous. Some of the situations seem so far outside.
If after finding divers placing limpet mines on the hill of the ship you would think that someone would post security at the boat dock and prevent the Russian boarders access. The fight scene seems to go forever yet the plane is taxiing down the runway.
If I was not so involved in the series and spent so much time up to this point
I do not know if I would go on to the next two but I will just to finish the quest.
Great, well-written zombipocolypse! This has been a fun and enjoyable series that delivers action and a finely crafted multi-thread plot. Unlike a lot of fiction of this nature, it's professionally edited and presented by a talented author who understands how to balance plot, character development, and technical accuracy without over-selling any single element. Highly recommend you start at the beginning and read them all.
I have thoroughly enjoyed the tremendous realism brought to the otherwise fantastical sub-genre of Zombie fiction that the Arisen series offers. This book, though, was really and truly a book that made literal the figurative "can't put the book down" idiom, as the rich complexity of both the characters' inner monologues and the breakneck-paced action made me unable to force myself to breaking points at times. If you have read the previous Arisen books, dive in with relish; if not, go seek out the previous volumes - as well as required-reading Genesis and Nemesis parallel prequels - knowing that the payoff in book twelve is immeasurable. I cannot wait for the last two volumes, but also dread the day there are no more.
I'm a long time reader of this genre and have to say this series is hands down my favorite and the best out there. Everytime I see a new book is released it's like Christmas to me but sadly I tear through them always wanting more. Back before the days of TWD and the disappointing Fear of TWD I used to talk with my brother ,who originally got me into this genre ,and we thought how cool it would be to have a zombie apocalypse series on TV. TWD to me lacks serious storyline where the equation is wander around meet people people get killed, I love this genre but am disappointed with that show. And the spinoff is so disappointing I stopped watching. So why am I talking about these shows on Mike's book review? Because this series is what I envision being epic as a TV series. Arisen reminds me of a Dawn of the Dead meets the Last Ship series which is awesome. Anyways I can't say enough good about this series and Mike, the author, if you read this keep it up man! I'm bummed there is only 2 more books left though, can you start up another series because I don't want it to end! Lol
Oh cripes, this was such an action-packed ride, not to mention emotional. I'm going "nooooooo!" and "Yeaaaaaah!". I had to get up early in the morning for work, but regardless of that 530am alarm threatening in the distance, I didn't stop reading until I'd finished...at 1am LOL. Literally could not put the book down. Now I'm waiting for book 13 to be written and released. Even signed up fro the release alert so I don't miss it!
This five-star review is for the series as a whole.
These writers, and later on Fuchs by himself, have given us something exciting, gripping, tense, comedic, and true.
I read a LOT of this genre, and I have read some fantastic authors.
This series is, without doubt, something special.
It takes all the excitement, charm, and quality that this genre thrives on, and multiplies them all by a thousand.
Be prepared for a thrilling, action-packed trip at a thousand miles an hour.
Do NOT start any of the books too late in the day, or you're in for many sleepless nights as you power through the entire series.
I guarantee it.
Yeah....I think it was 10 hours to finish the book. Once I re-read Fortress Britain, it's only taken me a couple of days to finish each book. But the beauty of being on vacation is that I can sit and read all day.
Anyway. I love this series. I get very attached to the characters in my books and it breaks my heart is ways I can't describe when they die. But....as a huge Walking Dead fan, I wish the people writing Fear the Walking Dead would take a hint from Fuchs. It definitely makes things more interesting, makes you care about the characters, and keeps you interested. It IS the ZA art all....people die.
This had definitely been one of the more gripping zombie series out there....and I've read a lot of them. I've hated some of them. I've loved some of them. I think what I enjoy about the Arisen series is the fact that Fuchs is NOT afraid to go there. So many times, authors hesitate to kill of main characters. In these types of books, people are going to die and I love when an author just goes for it.
If you haven't read the series, you should. One of my favorites, really and I can't wait for book 13.
This book was INTENSE! I cried, I got really mad at the author, I cried some more. I didn't want this book to end but I wanted to get to the end. I have loved this series with every step Alpha team, One Troop, Tripple Nickle and the MARSOC took.
